Trillium

 The Trillium are in bloom.

This is a nice patch that extends off in to woods who knows how far..I guess as far as the eye can see:)

Such a simple pretty flower!

Minnesota Weather; High 86 F or 30 C and the low was 60 F or 16 C eh.  Wild Fire Smoke from Canada filled the air so we did not go outside the house.  We have two air purifiers going inside the house all the time.

We had a quiet Sunday. I cleaned out the bathroom closet and my bathroom drawer that holds everything I need daily.  Laundry and deep cleaning the bathroom kept me busy in the afternoon.   My other baby brother and she who sees robins first stopped by to visit.

Supper was Tri Tip Steak and baked potato.

  1. I love the little flower. Don’t think we have that here. Supper sounds great—steak and baked potato I love!

  2. The trilliums are about finished here. They are the provincial flower of Ontario. No smoke here that we have noticed as yet. The heat is starting to build today with a high forecast for 30 tomorrow! We have the contractors on our dark brown steel roof this week. I feel sorry for them.

  3. It's supposed to be in the 80s here today too but then dipping back down for the rest of the week. Enjoy your Monday with a "nice clean potty" as my Mama (RIP) used to say. *ha-ha* ~Andrea xoxo

  4. We don't have any smoke here as the fires are mainly in Manitoba, your next door neighbor.

  5. Love the trilliums! I planted some in my small woodland garden, but they haven't bloomed! I know they can take several years to do so, so I'm trying to be patient.

  7. You had a very good day other than the smoke from the wildfires. I can look later, too, but any clue when they might get rain and the fires be extinguished? Glad you got a nice visit and a relaxing and productive day.
Yesterday was some leftovers here. Today I am making Apple Crisp for lunch - - yup - - dessert for lunch and we will snack on a sandwich or cheese and crackers later. My sleep has gotten crazy the last two nights. - - but it's all good - - we are retired with no appointments on the calendar!

  8. Trilliums are so pretty. We had lots of the smoke here yesterday too and it's still hanging around. Yuck. It's supposed to be in the 90s today and 60's tomorrow. We'll be packing the camper and getting ready to leave on Wednesday for two weeks. It's been a pretty emotional weekend and we're completely exhausted.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  10. The little flower bloom is simple but very pretty.... So sorry y'all are getting the smoke as I know it makes it miserable going outside. I need to clean out a few of those kind of drawers myself...Maybe later this week...

  12. Trillium in bloom here too, my favourite time of spring.

  13. Your trilliums are a slightly different variety than ours. Yours have ruffly edges. Of course our trillium flowers are long gone, but some are setting seed.

  14. These are my one of my many spring favs.
They are gone now but the leaves are still there...or is it the Jack in the Pulpits??? Here the black raspberries are starting to blossom....

  15. Trilliums are such a delicate flower. I know we have them but I've never seen one in the wild.

  16. The wind blew the smoke away yesterday, but I suspect with another new fire and several still not under control, we'll see more smoke soon.
Do take care, and I hope it dissipates there soon.

  17. So sad about the smoke. Glad you have air purifiers. You get more done that I do!
